Shane Gloria Musanase Mugenga

Shane is a partner at the firm and currently, in charge of Finance.

She has over 13 years’ experience as a legal practitioner and ably providing business consultancy and legal services to several persons regarding the incorporation of business, their restructuring as well as winding up of entities.

Shane is the Head of the Corporate, Energy and Infrastructure Functions of the firm.

She has experience in advising international and local clients whether private or public on asset financing, private equity, corporate financing, project financing as well as mergers and acquisitions. Her experience in commercial transactions ranges from capital markets, energy, telecommunications, transport, infrastructure projects, debt recovery, general litigation, arbitration and mediation.

She sits as Director and or Corporation Secretary on a number of Boards of companies and provides guidance on compliance, good corporate governance practices as well as international best practice.

Shane has conducted board evaluations and assessments as well as board development trainings.

Shane understands the dynamics of family law and is keen to provide the best solutions when it comes to family matters.

Shane holds a Master of Laws in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Shane also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, Kampala and a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, Kampala.

Shane is also an accredited Mediator having obtained a certificate from the California State Bar in partnership with the Intellectual Property Rights Initiative.

She is a member of Uganda and East Africa law societies.

Shane is also a Commissioner for Oaths.
